Are Junior ISAs protected?
Yes. A Junior ISA is protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).
Important details about your FSCS protection
A Junior Stocks & Shares ISA has its own FSCS protection of up to £85,000 per eligible child, per authorised investment firm.
This is separate from the parent or guardian's FSCS protection because the money legally belongs to the child.
FSCS may cover eligible losses if an investment firm fails, but it doesn't protect against investments falling in value.
What isn't covered:
FSCS protection covers the loss of funds if Monzo or our custodian/platform providers fail. It does not cover losses caused by poor investment performance or standard market drops.
For more information on how financial protection works, check out the FSCS details on their website.
