Step 2
Transfer your number
Text PAC to 65075 from the number you’re transferring to get your code. We’ll ask for the code as part of the sign-up process.
Step 3
We'll handle the rest
Leave it to us! We’ll contact your old provider and move your number across.

What is Monzo Mobile?
We’re launching Monzo Mobile to bring you three flexible eSIM-only plans. You'll manage your plan within the Monzo app.
Get 5G data speeds, 99% coverage in the UK, plus unlimited calls and texts – just like you can with other providers. You’ll be able to check coverage in your area before committing.
What’s an eSIM?
An eSIM is a SIM that's built into your phone. Instead of a physical card you slot in, it's a small chip that's already there. You activate it by downloading a plan directly to your phone. It works the same way as a regular SIM - it connects you to a mobile network so you can make calls, send texts, and use data. The only difference is there's nothing to post, insert, or swap.
A few things to know:
Your phone needs to support eSIM. Most phones made after 2020 do, but we'll check this during sign-up.
You can have an eSIM and a physical SIM in the same phone at the same time. This means you can keep your current provider while you try Monzo Mobile.
If you get a new phone, you'll need to reinstall your eSIM. You can do this in the Monzo app.
Is Monzo selling mobile devices?
No - just eSIMs for the time being. We don’t have any plans to sell phones right now.
Can I keep my number?
Yes. When you switch to Monzo Mobile, you can bring your current number with you. You'll need a PAC from your current provider. You can get one for free by texting PAC to 65075. Give it to us in the Monzo app and we'll handle the transfer. Your number typically moves across within one working day.
When is my bill due?
Your monthly payment comes straight from your Monzo account automatically. There's no separate bill or direct debit to set up. Your first payment is taken when you sign up. After that, it's taken on the same date each month. You’ll always be able to see your plan, upcoming payments and billing date clearly in the Monzo app.
How does my loyalty discount work?
You will have a 5% discount added to your monthly plan for every year you stay with Monzo Mobile, up to a maximum discount of 30%. Your current discount and monthly price will always be visible in the Monzo app. You can find out more in our handy help article.
What happens if there’s a problem with my network?
If something goes wrong, you’ll be able to get support through the Monzo app. We’ll help troubleshoot issues like signal problems, roaming and account access as quickly as possible.
Can I call, text and use my data abroad?
Yes - select Monzo Mobile plans include roaming in Europe and beyond, so you can use your minutes, texts, and data abroad. You can also buy roaming add-ons in the Monzo app.
Which countries will my roaming allowance cover?
30 GB plan – 10 GB of roaming data You can use your roaming data in these Zone 1 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Vatican City Unlimited plan – 25 GB of roaming data You can use your roaming data in all Zone 1 countries, plus: Australia, Canada, Egypt, French Guiana, Gibraltar, Guadeloupe, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Morocco, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United States, Vietnam We may add to these or change them in the future but this is what you can expect this summer!
