Making a bank transfer
You can send a bank transfer to anyone with a UK bank account.
You only need two things:
The name of the person or company you’re sending money to
Their account number and sort code
Here’s how to do it:
Tap the Payments icon in the menu bar
Tap Pay someone
Tap Make a bank transfer and follow the instructions
Transfers should happen instantly, but they can sometimes take up to 24 hours.
If you want to make a transfer over your transfer limit you'll need to request a limit increase in the app. You can check out your Account limits as follows:
Tap the Home icon in the menu bar
Tap on the 3 dots on the right of your Monzo card
Tap Manage Account
Tap Limits and allowances
You can also send international transfers through the Monzo app, although depending on what currency you need to send you might need to set up a Wise account.
You need to be 18 or over to send international payments.
